Rachel Mok is an Investment Officer in the Sustainable Finance team, where she works on the structuring and execution of sustainable finance transactions with financial institutions. Her work focuses on expanding access to finance for sustainable SMEs, energy access securitization, carbon funds, and nature-based finance, among other innovative approaches. Prior to joining IFC, Rachel was a Financial Sector Specialist at the World Bank, where she worked closely with central banks and financial regulators on policy and regulatory reforms to enable financial inclusion for SMEs and the greening of the financial sector. In this role, she also collaborated with public entities to design and launch catalytic funds aimed at mobilizing and scaling private capital for green projects, as well as sovereign bond issuances. Earlier in her career, Rachel worked as a Climate Change Specialist, contributing to the World Bank Group’s corporate climate strategy and supporting the integration of climate considerations across operations.
