Kanako Nannichi works in the SME and Enterprise Development, Policy & Regulations Unit in the Trade, Competition, and Business Directorate, where she supports developing countries in reforming their investment policy and business regulation to strengthen firm growth and private investment mobilization. She has a background in private investment and law, with cross-sector experience spanning multilateral organizations (OECD), government (Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Japan), and the private sector (Goldman Sachs). Kanako holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin and a Master in Public Policy (MPP) from Harvard Kennedy School.
