Juliana Soares is a consultant in the Poverty Global Department at the World Bank, where she supports strategic initiatives, partnerships, and knowledge work on poverty, inequality, and inclusive growth. She has over 15 years of experience in international development, with a focus on institutional development, stakeholder engagement, and program implementation across global, regional, and national contexts.

Prior to joining the World Bank, she worked with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), leading strategic initiatives, partnerships, and knowledge products on gender and human development. She also brings private sector experience from Nike, where she worked on social impact and gender-focused initiatives. Juliana holds a Master’s degree in International Cooperation and Development from the University of Lisbon.
