Jana Elhorr is the Global Lead for Social Dimensions of Climate Change at the World Bank. Jana has over 15 years of development experience across various regions including Africa, South and East Asia, Pacific Islands, and the Middle East. Jana has a worked on a variety of projects that support community and local development, social resilience and climate change, and women’s economic empowerment. She is known for combining careful analysis with practical solutions that can be expanded to help the most vulnerable and marginalized people. Jana holds a Ph.D. in Conflict Analysis and Resolution from George Mason University and an undergraduate in economics from the American university of Beirut. She is proficient in Arabic, English, French, and Spanish.
