Jamexis Christian is a Senior Operations Officer in the People Vertical for Europe and Central Asia at the World Bank Group, with over 14 years of experience designing and supporting development programs in agriculture, health, social policy and water across Europe and Central Asia and sub-Saharan Africa. She has contributed to several Bank modernization and reform efforts, including in the development of Program-for-Results Financing and environmental and social assessment practices. Prior to joining the Bank, Jamexis served as a U.S. Peace Corps Agroforestry Extension Volunteer in Cameroon, working with rural farming communities to support community-driven agricultural initiatives. She has also held positions with various non-profit and private sector organizations in the United States and the United Kingdom, focused on healthcare policy, inequality, and human rights research. She holds an MSc in Comparative Politics from the London School of Economics, with a specialization in nationalism and ethnic conflict regulation.
