Aitor Franco Arana is an Extended-Term Transport Consultant with the World Bank’s Transport Global Practice, supporting transport and infrastructure operations in Ecuador and across the Latin America and Caribbean region. His work focuses on urban and rural mobility, including resilient road infrastructure and road safety, contributing to the preparation and implementation of investment operations and analytical activities that strengthen the sustainability and accessibility of transport systems. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics and a master’s degree in Economic and International Development, with professional experience in transport planning and economic analysis, working with public institutions and international financial institutions.
